Photo Requirements for the Draw Me Party

Please bring photos (as many as 5) of the person/people you want in the picture. It's ok to have different photos for each person. They do not all have to be in the same photo!

The eyes and the top of the head should be clearly visible. Hint: can you see the eyelids? Then it's probably OK!

It is very important to bring images with the face as large as possible in the original photo. Scanning small faces at higher resolution to enlarge them does not help. Start with original images with the face at least as large as a quarter.

Digital images are preferred. The larger the original face, the better the likeness of your caricature will be! Make sure your images are saved as JPEGs for optimal quality and file size.

Professional photos are not always the best for capturing the CHARACTER of the person. Often, a candid photo is the best representation of the person. Also, what makes a good photo doesn't always make the best art sketch or cartoon. That is why we like to choose from a few different pictures.

Make sure you let us know the EYE COLOR and HAIR COLOR and features such as moles, freckles, dimples.
Here are some sample photos of Caricature Cartoon Pictures and Fine Art Portrait Sketches.

This is my hometown hair stylist and Drag Queen Extraordinaire, the lovely Darienne Lake of Ru Paul's Drag Race fame!

This lovely lady is 94 years old! This is her great-granddaughter.
I drew this little guy live. He was a little nervous, and after I was done with the drawing, he left me a little "surprise" on the floor!
This young man wanted to be IRON MAN!

This is Jas, and I wanted to capture her as a beautiful pinup style drawing.

This is my sister, Becky and her husband, Kelly.

And here she is, Ru Paul herself!

Here I am drawing at the New Year's Eve Family Celebration 2011, held at the Rochester, NY Convention Center.

This gentleman was drawn at the Open House celebration for an Orlando, FL health and wellness center.
This is friend and fellow lindy hopper Ken. I find quite a few of my sketches, such as this one, showing up on people's Facebook pages!
This is a beautiful girl from Sweden who was being graduated from Disney's International College Program. I often draw alongside many talented fellow artists at events like these.
A happy British fellow at the graduation party. I think any caricature artist will agree, we love drawing folks from the UK!
An adorable young lady from South America. I wanted to get her dress in there, because she wore it so well! This father and son picture was fun because I got to emphasize the difference in their sizes.
